I just got my new sebae on Tuesday, Oct. 29. I havent been able to run any circulation since i put him in because he wont attach to anything. Ive tried everything i could think of to convince him to stick to something.

    1. Put him up high in a crevice...moved himself back to the sand.
    2. Put him on a flat rock at medium depth...pushed himself off onto the sand.
    3. Partially buried a rock in the sand and layed him on it, thinking that maybe he liked being around the sand...moved 2 inches away to lay on the sand

This thing is driving me crazy, any help is greatly appreciated.

P.S. he is about half the size now, compared to when i got him.

In addition to Packs questions needing being answered, I would suggest that you stop moving it around, as it may add to it's stress. Just my opinion though.

Its near death. Take it back. A sebae that bleached should never have been purchased to begin with. Also tank is much too young for a sebae.

i thought you were supposed to wait like about 6-7 months to have any types of anemones.
i even heard "year". although a year might be exaggerating it a little IMO.
you might need to take it back, and ask your LFS to hold it up for you. if you have a good LFS and it dies with him, he might replace it for ya.

I would recommend at least a year for a sebae. They are about the hardest to keep of all anemones.

I have heard that if you take a piece of PVC cap one end and stick it in the rocks and where it wont move....then take the anemone and put it in the open part of PVC that is very dark they will stay there?

judging by how bleached it is, you dont want to put it that close to the light... anemones are somewhat like corals... you wouldnt go ahead and buy a brand new lps/sps and shove it under 8x54w t5's would you? and seeing as how short your tank is, you have no choice but to either raise the lights up, or buy some good screen and cover up half the tank, and see if the anemone reacts better with a 50% decrease in lighting... then slowly improve lighting as the anemone becomes accustomed to it. Oh ya... dont touch it, let it choose its own spot..... (this only applies if you cant bring it back to the LFS- seeing as its not exactly a healthy looking specimen - but not doomed either for those naysayers). Ive brought LTA's back from worse looking shape than that- it can be done- but require a few months of pristine water quality, and good care. And the fact is- if you take it back to the LFS at this point, they will likely either sell it to someone else where it will die, or they will toss it out and consider it a loss. Do your best to bring it back to a thriving life- it's a much more rewarding process and specimen if you can do so.

PS: You said that you have had your circulation off for 4 days now- terrible idea- First off, anemones try to find an area with adequate (and to their liking) water circulation. Your anemone is unable to find this location right now. Secondly, once you turn your circulation back on if your anemone DOES find a area he likes- he will quickly change his mind after he starts getting a new blast of current coming his way.
