When I first got into saltwater it was just for the fish and inverts. I have some zoos that I got before just because I wanted something on my rocks. But now all I want is more coral. I have 3 fish in my 75 and only really want one more(powder blue tang). So far I feel I have the skills to take care of fish but now I need to take the next step. Any advise?

Oh yea, me toooo. I went 6 moths with no corals, then like a month ago I got some shrooms, and I got the bug. Now I have all kinda corals, lol. Corals dont add a big load to you tank, you just have to worry about chemical warfare. Run carbon, and keep up with your water changes to help keep the trace elements up. The less fish you have the better anyway, then your tank will be easier with up keep. Your gonna need more light. Zoos and shrooms would do great in your tank, but if you want most other softies, or lps your gonna need alittle more. Over your 75 I would have atleast 4 110 vho lights, or 4-8 t-5 HO bulbs, or 4 65 watt/4 96 watt PC ect.... You can get hoods from alot of places for a 48" tank. Be carefull bugs can bite, lol, the wallet!!

For now I think I am going to do the overdriving method. Basicly you take a electronic t8 or t12 ballast that can support 2-4 lights and you route all the "channels" to one or two bulbs. Their is a huge thread on reef central(diy icecap). I have one 4x 32watt t8(6500k) and I will probly add one or two more. I am building a canopy in the next few weeks(atleast thats the plan).
