Well for those of you who didn't see my last thread..my 36 bow front started leaking the other day. I wanted to get another 36, but they are discontinued. I was shopping around and decided I wanted a 40 breeder. I love how deep and wide it is. There was a lot of wasted space in my 36 because of how tall it was. ANYWAY. Here it is:

I am working on the plumbing now. Decided to go with a return on each side and the overflow in the middle. Hopefully I can put rock around the overflow and hide it more than I could if it were off to the side.

I definitely have my work cut out for me today. If I get it all transferred to the new tank I will set up my new calcium reactor.

    Ivan

No it isn't drained. Here is my plan:

Mix up a tub of fresh SW
Put all of my corals/fish in a bucket with a heater/powerhead.
Move the rock to the new tank and get it how I want.
Get as much sand out of the 36 as I can and top off with new dry sand.
Move the sump over and get it hooked up.
Transfer as much water as I can then top off with the fresh SW

    Hopefully it goes smooth.

I may have to leave the canopy off for a while until I figure out a way to get my clamp on halide to fit in there. I'm thinking of taking off the "clamp" and just making a bracket to fix it to the canopy. We'll see.

I got my rocks "right" after only 2 tries. Pretty happy with it...i need more though haha I actually have a sand bed new, which is nice. I like the central overflow with 2 returns. I'll put pictures up later all at once when I'm done. Filling it up right now! Moving and setting up all the electronics is what is going to take a while!
