I can't wait til Friday. I'm getting my new bulb and another aqualifter pump in the mail so I can finally re-setup my ATO. Topping off 3 gallons/day is getting pretty old.

The diatoms are finally showing some signs of recession. Hopefully by next week they'll be gone and my sand will be white again.

Okay turns out I have dinoflagellates instead of diatoms. My corals are absolutely hating it. Pretty sure the goby is a goner too. It would come out every night for 5-6 days..haven't seen it for a while though.

    Thanks man.

I got the Phoenix 14k today. I was outside when the UPS man came..he tossed me the package even though it had 2 big "fragile" stickers on it. Kinda aggravated me.

Even after just a couple hours the color is SO much better than the Ushio 20k. My corals are actually opening up for the first time in weeks. Definitely a much more powerful light!

That would have aggravated me too!!! The FedEx guy told me yesterday that my packages always "slosh" - I don't know what to make of that. ;)

Well I woke up to an email from blue zoo aquatics showing me my 150 dollar receipt for an order I guess I placed last night  Not sure why I decided to go with them..I never order from there..oh well.

I'll post pics of everything when it gets here Tuesday!

hahaha.....i know "drunk dialing" is a bad thing for starters.....but...
better it was a receipt from blue zoo than "some other naughty place!"

now we all can await your goodies!

(by the way....how is your mantis these days?)

haha yeah..I'm actually pretty excited. I got a yellow wrasse (Halichoeres chrysus), flame scallop (no idea where that came from), a branching Hydnophora frag, and some orange zoas.

He's doing fine..I absolutely love that little tank. I just feed, top off, and wipe the glass once a week and that's it. Its as close to maintenance free as you can get. The tank is getting a significant of amount of coralline growth with just 1 15w actinic bulb and 2-part dosing every now and then.

Got my box of unexpected goodies today. The Wrasse was DOA, but everything else looks okay. There wasn't a heating pad in the box..the water was in the low 60's when I opened the box. I'll put some pictures up tomorrow when everything is settled in.

Hello Ivan, i really nice Breeder,

i had a question, it looks as though we have the same lighting, i was curious do you have a problem with the bulb falling downward, i bought this fixture used already like this, the guy had told me "tombstone style tend to do that"

have you had this problem? also what kind of 20k bulb did you get?
