Oh my gosh!!! LOL I read this about killifish but didn't really believe it. Poor little neon, how scary! Glad he's ok :)

P.S. feed your fish more :)

That is a really nice killifish though. If the killifish gets much bigger it might be a threat to the neon tetras. I didn't know they were so aggressive.

I honestly think it was an accident lol I've haven't seen either of them show any aggression to other fish. The male occasionally chases the female, but that's it.

Because they are seasonal fish they eat as much as they can so they can breed.

So this neon munching is becoming a regular thing at feeding time. Still no fatalities though! Every time I feed the male killifish just goes nuts and ends up with a neon sticking out of his mouth.

Well..the big male Killifish kicked the bucket while I was gone last week. Not too disappointed. Now my neon population will stay constant. He was starting to successfully eat them lol Plants grew like crazy while I was gone. I will post pics in the near future.

haha yeah..he was pretty big..so if their lifespan really is only 8 months or so..he was probably at the end of the road.

That's a great looking tank! What are the 3 foreground, grassy looking plants with the little bobs on the end called? Those are pretty cool and actually look like a wild true aquatic grass we have here in SD.
