    omgiv's 55G Tank

    Hi Guys,

Well, I guess it is time that I started my own thread so I can post updated pictures of my fishy friends. I think that I have figured out the easiest way to do it for now. If anyone has any problems seeing the pictures, please let me know. Also, if you see any gross mistakes with my tank, don't hesitate to speak up. I am a newbie and appreciate any advice I can get.

The tank has been set up since late April 2009. My two Clarkii clowns were my first addition. They have settled in well except that the big one is quite a bully. He rarely will let the small one leave the powerhead in the upper right corner. I also think that my tang got sick of his attitude when I got her because the clown's tail had a few bits missing. My newest fish (Hippo tang) is almost three weeks old now and is slowly settling in. She (I call her a she) did get a few spots of crypt on her when I first got her, but they went away after a few days. The cleaner shrimp did there job for the first week but I haven't seen them touch her since. I have seen a few other spots that don't look like crypt in the last day or two, but she is still very active and eats like a horse. I am really happy to see that the coralline is starting to grow. I have a good bit of purple growing and green. It is even growing on my snail shells. I plan on letting it sit like this for a couple of weeks more before I decide what will be next.

Thanks for looking and feel free to comment (good or bad :) )

    Regards,
    Ivy

Hey Ivy, when I click on a pic it just hangs a blank screen. From the little pics the tank looks good. Must be pretty new from the looks of the rock. Oh, in the "about me" section of your profile, it's about the tank! What about you, tell us something of yourself. I always like the "about me" section. You learn about others but very few fill it out.

Thanks for the kind words guys. It is definitely a work in progress.

I just checked the pictures again and the links seem to be working. Maybe photobucket was having an issue. If it happens again, please let me know. I may try to find another host. As to the profile, I just added a little more information about "me". Thanks again!!!!

    Regards,
    Ivy

Nice looking tank. I think a hippo is my next purchase. As far as problems, I am sure you heard it already. That hippo will get huge fast and will outgrow that 55g
