Iwasaki/EYE 175W 15k MH Bulb

I just got two of these bulbs for my 120g tank, and dang am I impressed! ;D I don't have any way of testing true light output or PAR, but there is a HUGE difference in brightness from the bulbs I had before. I can see why other reviews say they are brighter than many 250w bulbs out there. Just wanted to share my experience with them and say that I highly recommend them! They are a very bright slightly cool white, so anyone who want that "ice blue" look should find a different bulb. Personally I prefer the bright white look with actinic supplementation. I know they cost more, but I feel you truly are getting better performance from them.

I've read they have very high PAR. I think others choose different bulbs for color.. What were your previous bulbs?

 

nice, those bulbs are great, i love the lower kelvin color bulbs my self as well and supplement with atinics
