Wow. Do they have a wide flow pater? Or is it more of a jet?

Very wide pattern similar to the Evo but reaches a lot further out too.

well, now I'm getting a little concerned. I opted for the 40 because a few people said that should be perfect for my 65 gallon - now I'm wondering if I should have gone with the 25 instead? hmmm.........I really don't want to keep my koralias when I make the switch. I do have another question though, what can one use on these as a cover?

Based on my experience in a 5 foot 100G the 60 will be way too much and they are unsightly large. Look at my my side by side photo with a Evo 1400 plus I have more photos too. They are extremely powerful even at 50%.

    I have a wp40 in my 125g, along with 3 other smaller power/fans/heads.

I'm trying to get another one so that I can have 2 x wp40's on my 180 soon.

I got my wp40- for $60 in a group buy a few months ago. Wish I could find another one at that price! I got it before I got the 180 and the build going!

yes, that is a good price. I believe mine was $75. So, is a 40 going to be too much?

You can power it down, with it's own controller it comes with.

    I'll bet 2 x 25's would be enough however

I have two WP-40s in my 125 and love them! I am getting into SPS and want the extra flow though; plus I have a decent amount of rock to break up the flow. It took a little while to get them placed so all of my LPS corals were happy, but now that I have, all corals seem to be loving the random flow.

However, a lot depends on the sand honestly. With fine sand, I do think two WP-40s would be too much.
