    Hey Reefers,

Was just wondering if it was ok for the jager heaters to lay down instead of upright, as i want to lay it down in my sump.

You're going to need to tell us if you have an Ebo Jager or an Eheim Jager and the model number. Not all of them are submersible.

if they arnt submersible they should have a water line mark on the top. I have 2 of the heaters and they arnt submersible. but laying down in your sump on a angle with the top above the water line should be ok.

I talked to Eheim and they are perfectly safe to lay flat. They only wrote "submersible to water line" to be able to pass UL listing certification. I have 3 of them so I asked when I saw this too. I still have the email if any one wants verification. Better to be safe than sorry, good of you to ask before trying.
