Not much change to the Potters angel since I began a combined hyposalinity/erythromycin treatment. I am on day 5 of hyposalinity and day 3/4 of erythromycin. I'll keep the tank at 15 ppt until September 1st.

The angel's appetite has improved. It has gone from eating nothing to eating a few brine shrimp every time I feed.

There are puffy white marks on eat pectoral fin and one on the body. The treatment doesn't seem to be helping them.

Not great pictures since the tank is not directly lit, but you can see the white marks in both pictures if you look carefully. They are much more obvious in person!

    Thanks!

It's a purple reef lobster. Supposedly reef safe "with caution", so I may regret putting it in one day!

Very nice setup. Looking really good. I am very interested to see how the purple reef lobster does for you. He looks cool.

I haven't seen the lobster since I put it in :( That was kind of expected though.

I think I'll be putting in a sump over the next few weeks. The MC600 puts out a lot of water and it's hard to get the flow right with it in the tank. Plus the maxijet for the two reactors is a big eye sore.

I have a standard Aqueon 36"x18" stand and unfortunately the biggest tank I can fit in it is a 10 gal, so I didn't bother with a sump initially. I'll put an extra 20 gallon tank in a storage cabinet beside the tank and go from there.

Anyone have suggestions for an over flow? I'd like to have some sort of fail-safe system with the overflow, but I can't think of one using HOB overflows.

    Nice adds congrats

Many use a Tom Aquatics lift pump with an airline coupler installed in the over flow tube to siphon out air that gathers in there.

    Tank update:

I swapped out two of the Aquablue+ bulbs for Aqua pink bulbs as per 2in1's advice.

The Potters angel died suddenly in the QT. It was really sad since it had done pretty well and was almost done it's quarantine period.

The angel had a small white mark on the side. Initially I treated with erthromycin, but it didn't go away. The fish ate well throughout that 5 day treatment. Next I tried a combined maroxy/maracyn-2 treatment (anti fungal and bacterial). As soon as that treatment started, the fish stopped eating and died after two days. The decline in the angel's condition was so fast it must have been due to the treatment. Sometimes animals go off their food when on anti-biotics, but this seemed to be different as the fish seemed to be very lethargic. I wish I knew what went wrong.

The other fish I had in the tank with the angel, a brown watchman goby, seemed healthy the whole time and is now in the display tank.

Here's a picture of one of my two SPS frags. I like this one the most because the polyps are blue at the tips. Not nearly as nice as some of the other SPS I've seen on this site though :)
