Please don't "squeeze" the gas from the pouch.
Instead, hold the seahorse upright, under the water, and use something like a rubber tipped bobby pin to gently open the pouch and allow the gas to rise up and out of the pouch.
Seahorses can and have been damaged when "squeezing" the gas out.

The pouch is back to normal today. I didn't attempt to treat it and the seahorse is swimming and eating normally, so I will just closely monitor the situation. No point in causing it stress if the issue can resolve itself.

    Thanks so much!

    And another update...

Sun coral continuous to progress. Next step is to start trying to feed it during the day.

Seagrass is growing slowly but surely. It is a lot thicker now than it was a couple of months ago.

Right side of the tank... added a big Acan last week, but this side needs work. The fox coral is having issues lately. This is the 2nd fox coral I have owned, the first one didn't do well either. I just don't "get" them! This tank is low flow, has plenty of nutrients, and the fox coral is placed in an area of 50-100 PPF... still too much light?

Left side of the tank is nearly finished. Maybe I should frag that yellow yuma, it is almost 3 inches in diameter!

The seahorses have landed directly on both Acans with no problems, even when feeding tentacles are out.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Looks like a ton of growth. I think it's one of the more interesting tanks out there. Algae that grows in sand beds and grasses fascinates me.

You must be doing a good job on nutrient control..

Thanks Corailline! The tank hasn't been up for too long yet, so hopefully I can keep it up. Nitrates are at 0 ppm (API and Seachem) and I don't measure phosphates. I believe the combination of macro algae, seagrass and the DSB are keeping nutrients down. The red Halymenia macro (often sold as dragons breath) grows so quickly I think it would be a good choice for a refugium.

Thanks guys... Ron Burgundy is the highest of compliments!
