Very cool, I like your unique 'scape! And somehow you forgot that you have a Foxface Lo and at least one Anthias :)

How old is the snowflake? I have heard they can become nasty once they mature :/

Thanks. Yes there is also a foxface, baby clown trigger and a small niger trigger.

There are no anthias. Whats probably looking like an anthia is a large yellow damsel.

The snowflake is 2.5 ft long and 6 years old. In the last year he has gotten more opportunistic... Not really aggressive but at nite if he is hungry and finds a small sleeping chromis or damsel, it will eat it. So i justtry to only get fish that are too big for his month from now on.

Ah ok, yes, in the first picture the large yellow damsel does indeed look like an Anthias.

And about what I expected on the SFE. Very cool tank though. Any more pics showing how it is situated in both rooms?

Thanks. Here are some more random pix of the tank and how its situated.

I inherited this tank as my first saltwater tank when we purchased this home. (The previous owner started building it and abondened it..so I just did alot of reading on forums like this and then took the dive...)

I am using pvc and zip ties to hold the rocks in place. As i get more rocks I just zip them to the pvc poles. In person it actually looks pretty good and you barely see the pvc.. with time the pvc has become encrusted with algae.

I have a 30 gallon sump in the basement. Do not have a skimmer though.

I would love to do a peninsula tank at some point. That looks very nice between the two rooms. No skimmer huh? That could certainly help some of you algae problems IMO.

    Sooo pretty. Great rock structures.

Need to work on couch placement though.
