thanks buddy, well in my situation none of the liverock i added caused any trouble or a cycle at that, just a few hitchhikers here and their... if i was to do it over again id only buy a few nice sized pieces of established live-rock and a bunch of base rock(dead), the LR will seed the rest of them. but in my case i got a very good deal on half of it so i went for it..

So your saying that when the LR seeds the dead rock/base rock, it brings the dead/base rock back to life making it LR again?

Your clowns definitely get along well. That's a pretty sure sign that one is male and one is female.

sooo i had 2 hermits inside of my fuge to help sift around and all of a sudden one of them disappeared!(this was a week ago) could not find him anywhere. 3 4 5 days go by and still no hermit, then i look at my water flow and realize it was alittle slower than it normally is... so i think to myself No Way!! i look down in the inlet to my return pump and there he is stuck against the screen, he is alive and doing just fine back in my DT.

    thought that was interesting.

    Havent updated in awhile...

So i finally purchased new Lighting for my tank, a Hamilton 150w MH pendant and tossed the crappy eclipse 3 lighting i began with. also made an egg crate cover for the time being. i hope it does get to hot from the lamp, well see i guess :)

any suggestions on good sps/lps to start with, the guy i bought the light from threw in an Electric Green Hydno frag for $10, that is the only coral i have as of now.

    Thanks in advance
