Need to get just a basic pump but not sure what to get.
I bought this chiller used for my 125g and did not come with any sort of pump
I want some sort of submersible pump to just drop in my sump.

Please any help would be great.

the 1/5hp requires a min pump of 480 GPH up to a max of 1320 GPH.

Assuming the chiller will be near the tank and it's only coming from the sump, there will only be about 1-2 feet of head, which isn't much.

    Eheim 1260 or 1262

    Mag Drive 5,7 or 9...

All depends on how much flow you want. How much you wanna spend.
Finding a pump that will use the least amount of watts to run will ultimately also heat the water less and require even less work from the chiller.

If you ever plan to run a reactor, this may be a good time to consider pumbing in that as well.

If you're not plumbing the chiller into your main return, be sure you pull the water from a different section of your sump to avoid cooling the same water over and over again. It's actually best to return it straight to the DT, IMHO/IME.

Just a tip in case you haven't thought of it.

Thanks fat for all the info

And lion fish good to know I didn't think about that

I will probably pull water from the sump where it comes from the tank and pump it into the return pump section basically by passing the fuge

Or pull from the first area of sump and dump into actual fuge section

I've returned water to the pump bay before, and it worked out fine.
