thanks for those links! I will bookmark them!

So I have been running my system without the media cartridge and a skimmer only for about a week. What chamber in the back would you recommend I put the carbon bag thing? My water is getting kinda cloudy even though I am doing regular water changes.

    purigen

well i'm not going to use the media basket since it will not fit at the moment. Just gonna let it sit in one of the chambers for now.

IMO any where that has passive water movement is fine, and it seems like all chambers do. If you place it right over a pump in the end compartments water will be drawn through it to a certain degree.

Why is your water getting cloudy? It should not be, if the carbon were saturated you would see a yellowing of the water. Cloudy makes me think of something else, like suspended particles, bacterial or algae as well.

good news! John from reefcleaners is sending me a 29 gallon quick crew for FREE! Great guy. Never saw any of my snails move though. Hopefully since the weather is getting better, I will not have the same problems as last time.

also.... we need more action in this thread! Post up some pictures of your JBJ setups!

Exactly, we need pictures of tanks, modifications, livestock the whole thing. I know we have some JBJ owners lurking that have not come forth yet with their tanks, all are welcome please.;D

O and those little dots never went away... I topped it off as high as possible and it still has particles. Are they copepods?
