JBJ 28 Intermediate

So I was intrigued by these until I saw the price! 900 for tank and stand?!? I can build a tank for 1/10 that price lol, I may just end up going with the JBJ and modify it with fans and see what happens

 

What about the Red Sea 130D???
A local guy is selling one he has had for 8 months and since upgraded?

 

900! The tank is 3 something and the stand is 1 something. Under $600. We also got a deal on the tank and the stand was $99 free shipping from LiveAquaria.

I would like to try a Red Sea myself.

 

haha i saw the wrong prices, i was looking at the reef ready editions, 561 for just the tank with those, and if i can get this red sea 130D for a decent price i may just jump on it.

 

The RSMs do seem like nice tanks...I definitely like the look of them.

 

Having owned one, I can tell you, even though it wasn't $900, it still wasn't worth it. We removed the lid and went back to the one that has a rope LED for lighting. Just coiled the rope inside the reflector. It was an HQI.

 

My LFS has the largest Red Sea and hates it. It runs super hot and its hard to get a chiller in the sump.

 

Dang. There's always something, isn't there.

 

Darn the guy sold the 130D already, and I keep coming back to the jbj 28, maybe I can modify the fans with computer fans to make it more efficient?

 

I believe we found some fans online somewhere that would fit. We just never got around to it.
