Anyone have any experience fitting a Maxi 1200 into the return "chamber" of a JBJ 28gal? I'm looking at increasing the overall output and the Maxi 900 is actually a downgrade considering the overall GPH listed for each. The Maxi 1200 is a 35gph upgrade per unit which would equate to 70gph total between them each. My main concern is their physical size being too large to fit in the skinny chamber on the back of the JBJ.

    My current flow is:
(2)OEM return pumps rated at 260x2 (constant) and,
(2)Koralia Nano (425 variety) on a wave timer

    = ~945gph which = ~33.75 turnover per hour.

    With MaxiJet 1200:
    (2)MaxiJet 1200 rated at 295x2 (constant), and
    (2) Koralia Nano (425 variety) on a wave timer

    = ~1015gph which = ~36.25 turnover per hour

By all means, if my math is wrong, please correct me. It doesn't seem like a huge increase but I still get this feeling that my total flow isn't what it should be. I know I could run both of the Nano's at the same time but I really don't want a stagnant/laminar flow.

Ideas? Concerns? What is your favorite color?

All the MaxiJets fit fine, at least the older ones did. I can't see any size difference on the 1200 Pro I have if you don't use the kit with it.

I have 400s, 600s, and 1200s. The physical sizes are identical.
