So, I just went and bought the JBJ ATO and installed. My water level was very close to needing to be filled so I expected soon the system would kick on my pump. Currently the Sensor 1 light is on but the pump has not kicked on.... also, the pump light is not on so I am expecting that is a good sign. I know a lot of you have this unit so is everything working right I just need to be patient or is something off?

    Thanks for your help.

If everything is set up correctly, only the Green power light should be on, until the float switch senses low water volume in the sump. After this happens, the sensor 1 or 2 (depending how you set it up) would light up in red and the PUMP light will follow and activate your top-off pump.

Quickly describe if you set up the system in Mode A (with 1 sensor in the sump and another one in the reservoir) or Mode B (with 1 sensor in the sump and one in the display tank).

By the way, if you can, take a picture of each part where you have the sensors and let us know which one is sensor 1 and which one is sensor 2. Also, let us know whether you're running the ATO in mode A or B.

    Pictures are nice :p

Are you using the one sensor or the two? Mode A or B?

If one sensor (float), make sure it is plugged into the front sensor outlet, not the back. Also make sure the switch is on the correct mode.

I am having an issue with my JBJ ATO currently, that the pump does not always kick on. I then will have to flip the switch up and down once, and it starts working. However, both the sensor and pump light come on, so not same as your issue.

    Hey,

i cant do pics and i know how they are loved.... LOL. But, I have the system set in Mode A in which i set up the system.. first float sensor in the sump and second well under the water line in my reservoir. Everything should be good to go.

I just noticed that the instructions indicated mode a was different than mode b on the unit so I flip the switch and BAM worked fine.. JBJ should be a bit better at details.

LOL!! I'm glad you got it sorted. I knew it had to be something about the switch. I had the same issue, but my problem was that I had the reservoir sensor in the sump and vice-versa. So the water top off was never going to happen. The only thing that helped me was the drawing in the manual. Not sure if they still put it there, but it made it all make sense at that time.

+K for a well setup, sturdy ATO system!
    Cheers!
