Has anyone ever swapped out led's on a JBJ nano cube hood. I'd like to switch out some white for royal blue.

In the picture of your mod, I see that you used plug and play leds. How did you set up your color configuration. Don't you need all leds to be the same color in a module?

Nah, you'll want to vary the colors. What you need to look out for is the max drive current each color runs at, and match that to the drivers. I'd stick to what they have but get 8 rb, 4 blue, 8 cw 4 nw, then add another driver with 4 cyan and 4 violets, then a boostled typhoon controller and you're set!;)

Biocube has a fancy pants Apex reef controller that works too, i guess, if you're into that whole, control everything in your tank via your phone thing. lol

The reefkeeped is awesome and def worth the money, I look forward to adding one sometime, but the boost typhoon is only $54 and super easy and works.

    Well said Cosmo! ;)

I have a few blue and white placed all over my heat sink. The plug and play allows you to daisy chain connectors to allow LEDs to be places anywhere you want.
