Just curious if anyone has had experience with either of these two tanks. looking for the pro's and con's to both. I plan on getting one or the other within the next month. From some reading it seems like the Biocube has more Watts per gallon for the lighting, but I could be wrong. I am only looking for either an 8 gallon up to a 14 gallon. The 29 is just to big for what room I have. Again thanks for any input you all have.

More watts per gallon is correct, I don't know about the quality of a JBJ. I have a Biocube 8 and the quality seems very good.

If you're going small I'd suggest a Biocube but if you decide to go bigger (29g) I'd do JBJ. They have a better filtration system as far as options are concerned AND they have them with HQI ($500) and now in LED ($700-$750) on E-bay. Price includes stand & shipping. I wish I could afford one now and sell my 29g Biocube.

I was thinking the Biocube is the way I will go. probably the 14. The stock lights should be plenty for most corals I would assume.

after doing some more reading on the Bio cube, some say it keeps the water temp to high...82-83. anyone else seeing this kind of issue.

I have a jbj and the temp can get high like that during the warm months as well. If it does that in the winter I would steer away. Other then that I haven't had a problem with my jbj at all.
