It is a dry heat, yeah right !
It would be cool to get one over a day to show the normal inflation and deflation that goes on with anemones. Seems like one of the most common concerns for newer anemones owners is that change in shape.

I lol'd at the Narcissus snail?

Yeah, just got him yesterday. He's still a bit stressed and has not attached yet. I've made him a nice little sand lagoon by the side of the rock in another spot and moved him there since I took the video. Hopefully he'll like it and attach his foot.

Once he does that, then it's on to a little feeding and then I hope he should start the inflate/deflate daily process.

Yeah, that was cool. A little submarine.

Be careful with that overflow cover; if a wrasse jumps and lands up there it's going to have a hard time flopping itself off.

I use a piece of ABS that sits on top of the overflow box. When I've had some jump and land up there, they are able to flop and slide back off.

Thanks for the advice. I'll see if I can come up with something better.

It's been a long time since I've posted any updates or visited 3reef. Life been rather busy. Luckily, good busy on many fronts. We've had our 3rd baby few weeks ago. Last time I posted i believe my 2nd child was only a few month old.

Both tanks are doing great. The 110g rimless is almost 2.5 years old now. 55g is about 4.5 years old. I've had quite a bit of success with both tanks during lasat 2 years. All the fish, corals and inverts seem to strive. Haven't had any losses short of two chromis who got chased out of the 55g tank by a bigger chromis.

I feel my algae issues have been under control. It still pops up here and there, but it's very managable and simple to remove. 110g tank is dialed in. All levels are basically stable with proper amount of automated dosing. 55g is very stable too, which i manually dose daily. Things been so smooth and predictable, i've be testing water only every 3..4 month.

Aptasia is ... well .... it's apatasia. You find it, you deal with it. Sometimes it disappears, sometime it comes back in numbers. You can see my lil aptasia garden on one of the rocks in the 110g tank. But overall it's not the end of the world.

And now for the photo bomb:
