Well, 2 days later and there's no sign of cyano anywhere. Water is crystal clear, fish are happy and my first coral in this tank (green ricordea) is super happy and open. What an amazing product.

I've turned the lights back on and am watching for signs of cyano coming back. I've emailed Microbe-Lift and they said it would be safe to dose it weekly if cyano persists. That should also help with cleaning the rock of dead organics.

So happy it worked, and worked so quick. Almost too good to be true.

I absolutely love Anthias, excellent choice. Glad to hear the cyano is loosing. The tank looks so dang big.

yes, tank looks totally awesome! Love the powder blue tang! I don't see any remnants of cyano! Your ric is awesome. I love rics...I've not had luck keeping them though :( they have blown around in my tank and disappeared...

    thanks!

There's a lil cyano in a few spots. During the day when lights are running it comes back there, but it's gone overnight. I think reduced lighting, cleanup crew and microbe-lift special blend are keeping it in check until rock is exhausted of dead organics.

I was not able to keep ricordea in my 55g either. For some reason they'd just melt away. I tired playing with lighting, more, less, etc. Nothing seemed to work.

Do you ever think a certain tank is just ... "cursed" ... :) Here's hoping to this new one being easier on me :)
