    i'll let you know how it goes. The wye pvc pipe took me forever to find. you can get one at pvcfittings.com. they have tons of hard stuff to find and great customer service.

    i wish i did. I had to travel last week and again next week. So i decided to just hold off until I would be back in town. Did not want a major issue while i was away when just setting up the tank.

    ^ I wouldve started the cycle before leaving last week. You cant really do anything anyway when you are cycling. Just wait. By the time you get back next week, its almost ready for fish!

    You would like to know how the parameters are changing as well, I guess. (Ammonia spike, followed by nitrites, and nitrates)

    So there is not even water in yet?

    nope. was just going to wait and do it all the first weekend i am back. i have been waiting for months no need to rush it now..
