It cuts the power to 50%, i believe and sets the pump into constant flow. Basically, it turns into a common low flow power head.
I'm still having problems with my sensor since it does not "activate" when in total darkness.... which makes the "night" part out of "night time sensor" irrelevant and renders that feature non-functional. Some people have made it work with the lights from the moonlights LED's... but I'm not going to buy one just for that. I'll eventually get a controller and it'll take care of it.

What type of sand r u using? I have the pump on else and there is very minor sand shifting in my 55.... but then again... I'm using the medium grain sand that said its burrower friendly. The fine sand may be harder to keep in place.

I have a finely CC bed, shallow, and my wp 40 is on one end, aimed a little toward the front and slightly down, but still point at the other end 6 ft away. It still blows my CC bed alittle, I kinda glad actually.

I have 330 lbs of Southdown sugar sand 5-6" deep. Or it was 5-6" deep before, now its 9-10" deep in mounds and 2-3" deep in the middle. Tried pointing the WP-40 more at the rocks but it aggrivates the zoanthids, RBTA's and LPS on the rock. I'm going to keep messing with them before giving up on the 40 and using the two 25's instead.

Does the vibration noise go away? My wife kept asking if my phone was on vibrate last night ane we were in another room, away from the tank with the TV going.

Mine has no vibration noise. It has a slight humming sound, but much better than the koralias I used to have.

Yea, no vibration here either. Just a humming noise and the pitch changes as it ramps up and down it's speed.
I can barely detect it over the quiet fans on my LED's.

I'm going to try it in the middle of my back wall, near the top, facing slightly down and see shat that does to the overall flow of things.
I still have my MJ's with the powerfan mod on them running also.

I have the slight humming sound as well. Up close it sounds like a phone on vibrate on the counter across the room. With any noise in the house it is virtually undetectable. Again I have to be right next to the pump to hear that humming sound.

Using the Reef Angel to control it, it allows you to change pump modes and intensity automatically throughout the day, or via a webpage from anywhere (if you have their wifi module). It allows more modes than what the Jebao does with the controller it comes with. You can also sync / anti-sync multiple pumps with it, just like Tunze/Vortech.

Mine isn't really a vibration, its the high pitched humming but it sounds like when your phone vibrates on silent. I have worked hard to make the overflow and other pumps silent so it is very apparent if its quiet in the house.

I had read on a thread somewhere that this went away with time or at least reduced with time, I hope so.
