JEBO 2003 Protein Skimmer w/ 528GPH Powerhead

anyone know about theses skimmers for a 55 gallon, i dont have a skimmer curently and getting a bad alge problem on glass , the dreaded green haze i know this wont stop problem but jus tneed and advice on anyone who hase one of theese thx

 

how many fish and what kind are in the tank? I have heard they are hard to adjust! I think one of the best and most economical skimmers on the market for a 55 is the Excalibur. I have had AquaC and about 10 others through the years and nothing did a better job for the money! You can usually find them for about $120 new-do a search on this site you will find good things about them

So you are not overstocked, good. I would look into the Excalibur. Good luck

 

I am using a jebo in the first chamber of my sump to supliment my remora pro. As long as the water stays at a stable level it isn't hard to keep dialed in. It works ok for what it is. I only paid about $40.00 for it. Honestly, if you can afford a better one I would recommend it, but as a temporary or suplimental skimmer, you can get by with one.

 

so what happens if the water drops..?

 

The foam drops and doesn't reach the top of the reaction chamber.
