I'm almost done with my cycle as the trites are .05 and trates are 2, but i got this very slippery jelly like substance all over the outside and inside of my clear flex tubing. It's a very light tanish/ antique white color and if I squeeze the tubing increasing the water pressure while flowing it will peel off the inside of the tubing looking like thick stings circulating in my fuge. Just curious as to what it might be and if I could clean it or better to leave it alone, i'm thinking some benificial bacteria would be in it and I need all I can get right now.
    skimmer running
    tropic marin bio actif salt

    thanks

Sounds like a bacterial mat, I think it would be good to keep the tube clean. You have more than enough bacteria developing on the rocks and in the sand to worry about what is in the tubing.
