Other than upside down jellyfish (Casseopia), they tend to a pain to keep. They cannot have tankmates. They require little in the way of lighting. You need a kreisel (round tank) or psuedo-kreisel for a tank because they can't have corners of tanks, nor rocks. They require that you keep another system to grow out the live plankton they need for food and you need a sump to hold your protein skimmer and bioballs or live rock for biological filtration (because you can't have rock in the tank).

it would be a cool conversation piece but not very easy to take care of.

They would be very hard to keep, but if I could choose them over my reef I would swap in a second. They are amazing creatures that I don't think anything in the ocean can match.

Are you thinking of setting one up?

It is difficult but not impossible. You will need specialized tank like cylinder with constant circular current. Jellyfish can't see (at least not like fish) and they will die if they hit themselves with the glass. Here is the design of jellyfish tank I've seen in local museum.

I had one in what I thought was perfect conditions. The jelly killed itself by constantly pumping into the flat of the glass until he han worn completely though the medusa.
I think to succesfully keep jellies, you really need a spherical tank.

yeah i see on discover they keep those really small box jellyfish(i forget what they r called) in one of those sphere tanks because if the jelly runs into the glass they kill themselves...so is there any experience keepers on this site?

I think you should go for it, build a really nice refugium to filter the water and grow the plankton. Many people, including me, will be jealous. I've heard of people keeping moon jellyfish, I wonder if you can keep comb jellies.
