Jim, great vid and tank. The aquascape is awesome. You have a great selection of corals.

Thanks 2in10 - I wanted to look into each of the two sides of the tank and feel like they were windows to the ocean floor. So far everyone here gets that feeling.

Lost my Atlantic Blue Tang - I suspect it did battle with one of the MP40s and lost. Seems like small fish (it was about the size of a nickel) don't make it long in the 150. Naturally it was one of my favorites.

Didn't dose anything this week just to see what my consumption levels were. Test results:

    • Ca - 400
    • K[SUB]h[/SUB] - 8/143.1
    • P[SUB]h[/SUB] - 8.21
    • M[SUB]g[/SUB] - 1200
    • S[SUB]g[/SUB] - 1.025
    • Temp - 77.4
Looks like I need to dose for Carbonate Hardness and Magnesium for sure. Calcium is borderline, I would like to see it at 420.

According to the SeaChem calculator I need to add:
Reef Advantage Magnesium - 15 teaspoons a day
    Reef Builder - 1 teaspoon a day
Reef Advantage Calcium - 2/3 teaspoon a day.

I'll add the Magnesium to my Top Off water, and hand dose the rest and see what the results are next Saturday.

    Remove chiller?

It's been over three weeks since I removed the class canopy, and my chiller hasn't kicked on once. I have had to cut my lighting fans from two to one because they were bringing the temps constantly on the low side causing the heater to be on a lot and water evaporation to be excessive.

I'm considering removing the chiller, and programming the second fan to kick in if the temp reaches 80. This would give me a lot more room for a larger ATO reservoir and reduce the crowding in the stand. Adding water to the reservoir twice a week is tiresome, evaporation is at 1.5 to 2 gallons a day. I can remove the chiller and leave the plumbing in place to add it back if there should be any changes in the future. I don't for see putting the glass canopy back on.

Thanks Matt - Saw one in my LFS 180 display and had to have one. Had to wait a week for them to do their weekly pickup runs, but it was worth the wait. The LFS guy tells me it's already acclimated to meaty foods which is a big plus.
