If you can just place the fans so they are lower than the bulbs. All is needed is to move air past the label end to cool the bulbs.

Your aquascaping plans sound quite interesting can't wait to see them come to fruition.

Need a creative side to aquascaping

I hope it can be just half of what I want. Have you ever seen the aquascaping at Oregonreef.com ?

His aquarium is huge - but it is oh so fine also.

I've included a sample from his as an example of what I would like to duplicate :p - And yes it is an aquarium not the sea.:)

    Tang Police Alert

While I'm sitting around waiting for the tank(s) to spring a leak (COL) - Let's wake up the Tang Police. Now that I have a larger aquarium, just how many Tangs can I have. I'm thinking three max. Below are what I'm previewing with a 5-10 rating (10 being better):

    10 Purple Tang
    9 Achilles Tang
    7 Powder Blue Tang
    7 Orangeshoulder Tang
    6 Mimic Lemo Peel Tang
    6 Lieutenant Tang
    5 Powder Brown Tang
    5 Yellow Tang

Those with experience with these Tangs, your opinion would be greatly appreciated. :cheesy:

Rose - You threw me a curve on this one. "move air past the label end" - I would think you need to flow air by each end of the bulb. Did I miss something?

Keep in mind an orange shoulder tang gets pretty big.

The purple s are hardy, but can be aggro. Powder browns and blues are a little difficult, and mean.
