Thanks Skurious - Somewhere in the back of my mind, I had the same thought - but couldn't be sure. Guess I'll go with five of them.

Enjoy your thread. I am in the process, abeit much slower, of setting up a 90g. I just added 4 chromis. why is an odd number better? Looking forward to more picts. I will eventually get some up for mine.

Dustoff79 - Not sure why - but I have read it somewhere, (SOO much reading done), and Skurios confirmed that they had also read it. It may seem like I'm going fast, but I just transferred everything from another tank.

    Thanks for dropping by.

i guess odd numbers are better for the schooling. One of them has to be a leader and then the even number follows. im not sure why its better, all i know is that i had read that somewhere.

I read on a forum that they leave one member behind to guard their cave. So the schooling would be in even pairs if that is the case.

I would do between 5 to 10 Chromis. Love your setup. I like the deep dimension tanks from Marineland.

Detrivores other CUC and more pumping ordered

Ordered the addition to my CUC today from Inland Aquatics:

    • Starter Kit, Detritivore
    • 12 Dwarf Cerith Snails
    • 6 Nassarius Snails
    Also ordered from my LFS:

    • 2 Diamond Gobies
    • 5 Blue Green Chromis
    • Tiger Pods
All items should be here by Friday.

I also ordered another MP40W which will be here sometime next week. The one unit isn't quite enough and the pump I added just doesn't add enough flow so.
