Hey just curious, what did you make your overflow box out of. I'm thinking about trying to do something with acrylic, or even a large PVC 90 with a wedge cut out so it kind of like a half bowl to cover the bulkheads, with teeth cut out of the top to act as strainers. Probably doesn't make any sense but I can picture it in my head lol.

BTW, are you running the NAC6? If so, on what size tank?

Looking for a good deal on a couple of Koralias. Anyone know of good places to purchase from? Also some help on deciding between two #3's or #4's?

So I'm still waiting on my lights and skimmer to arrive.

I just picked up the lumber, screws, and L brackets yesterday from Home Depot, hopefully I can start the framing for the stand tonight.

I also picked up a standard 10 gallon tank to use as the sump yesterday. I'm really hoping it's going to be big enough for the skimmer to run in properly. I only want about 6" or 7" of water in there so the overflows can drain in there with room to spare in the event of a power outage. I've been reading most people run the NAC6 in around 10", but a few reliable sources have told me they will do OK in 6" or 7".

I have plenty of left over acrylic for the baffles, I'll probably start cutting and siliconing them in the sump tomorrow if I have time. Or maybe I should wait until the skimmer gets here so I know exactly how much room I need.

Like you I am somewhat comp illiterate so I still haven't posted pics haha and I also don't know how to put a link to this up but at marineandreef.com the korallias are cheap right now just picked up two 4's for like $73 shipped! I would suggest you get the threes the 4's in my tank are churnin the water good I had to move my zoas and shrooms around a bit to save them for getting swept away but Im pleased. I also built a custom stand and canopy and my only advice is double and triple check EVERY measurement. GL I know you are lovin it its always so exciting on a new build

Haha yea my wife had to put the pics up, I have no idea how she did it. I'm happy I can at least turn the computer on :p.
$73 doesn't sound too bad, I'll check into that, thanks. And yea I think I'm gonna go with the #3's.
I did buy quite a bit more wood than I needed, just "in case" lol.
    Thanks, I am very excited.;D

So when I got home yesterday from work my lights were waiting at my front door;D. Now I can start on my canopy.
But I'm not exactly sure if I should have it open in the back or not. I'm sure it would cool much better if the back was open, but I don't want all the light spilling out to look stupid either.
    Any opinions on this?

    Just a little update.
I still have not started on the stand yet, all the wood is sitting in the garage waiting on me, I've just been too busy with all the Christmas crap. Hopefully I'll start on it this week.
For some good news, my brand new Bubble Magus NAC6A was waiting on my doorstep Christmas Eve!!!! This thing is SWEET! It took all of 2 minutes to put it together. I've had it running in my 10 gallon sump for a couple days. Quite as can be. I put a little bit of pellets in the water and within minutes it was opulling crap out of the water. I'll put up some pics and more info when I get home later.
