Wow, sorry to hear about the pump issues. With fingers crossed, I've not have any problems so far after 5 months, but I do have a backup pump in case which I currently use for water changes.

How is the tank running otherwise?

    92watt skkye light

Hi. Just purchased the Mini Nuvo 38 with dual spectrum tablet 92w led. I'm really excited to setup this reef tank. I opened my light today and had a few questions. I'm looking to buy an Apex controller to add to the system. How does the dawn/dusk and daylight or moonlight options work? Im guessing you run the dawn/dusk driver for a period of time then turn on daylight and turn off dusk/dawn and the same with the moonlights. I know the apex has dimmable 0-10v ramping capability. My LFS said that the ballast of this light would be capable of this but the people in the forums say no. Any ideas or how does your controller work. Thanks

How is the flame angel doing in this size tank. I have just set one up as well and that's a fish I'm considering but wasn't sure if the tank would be large enough.

    Thanks!

Flame Angels are supposed to be ok in a 30 gal. So 38 should be fine.

Hi... new to the site but found this thread which is awesome... I have a couple of questions because I'm considering buying this tank.

First, how do you like your lights? I've heard they really aren't enough and I was considering getting AI Vega's instead... thoughts/

Also can you show me a picture of the light you put over your refugium? I have been out of the hobby for 20 years so this is all new to me... but I thought I saw you were changing water once a week? That seems like a lot, I used to do mine at once a month... Are you still changing at that interval?

    Thanks

Jim (adicus) has not been on his thread for a very long time, so I thought I'd give you my thoughts as I also have a IM 38 Nuvo with the 92 watt LED tablet. Here is a link to my thread: http://www.3reef.com/forums/show-off-your-fish-tanks/rgs-innovative-marine-38-nuvo-132910.html

The 92w Dual Spectrum LED Tablet more than enough to grow anything you want in this tank - SPS, clams on the bottom, LPS, etc. I've had amazing growth in my tank and the colors are great. I change 15% of my water every two weeks and all seems good.

Feel free to ask me any questions you want on my thread.

Thanks I actually am following that thread as well... Regarding the lights, I found that the Vegas are less expensive than the 92w that comes with the tank and I'm trying to understand the differences between the two... Why would I want one vs another? Ill post the the same question on your thread.
