Jkat`s tank move/upgrade..

Well I finally found the time after the wedding to get my tank from my brothers house..I upgraded from my 2 yr old 55 gal to a new 72 RR bowfront(loving the built in over flow already)...I moved everything over fri from 12 to 1:30 am...ugh long day......so far other than spilling 4 gal of saltwater in the trunk of my car I have to say it went well...looks to the only loss will be my digitata,but we will see....well here are some not so good pics from my phone(laptop not hooked up yet)...

 

Dont mind the make shift light bar as I have to still build a new canopy.

Looks good. Do you have reflectors on those MHs? it seems like a lot of light is escaping the hood. I like your aquascape though

 

Thanks....yip what you see is just a make shift wood bar(temporary) to hold the lights up till I can build a new canopy...

 

Heres a short cut to a very nice canopy build. Its for a 46 bow but hopefully will give you some good ideas.

Thanks yamaha for the link, i read their thread a while back when they built it, and also watched this video to(good to view it again)..going to hopefully get to it if I can get some time off from work....on a sad note I think my acan is not going to recover :-[
