It's 10 total gallons but has built in filter so the showcase area is limited. So small is the key here. :D

Yea me and mission talked about that. I'm going to remove it and replace with sand as soon as I can afford some. I want to get the skimmer first though. Thx :D

the only thing i dont like about it is the bulbs in the 18" are on one side and the cord is out the other so to get the light in the center of the tank the cord has to run over the top of the light. i also have a built in filter so that was a problem for me

I have plenty of sand you can have. I suppose we can get it to you on CC.

Can you post top down picture of the way the built in filtration is laid out? I'm sure we can find a skimmer that will work well for you.

Sweet, that's a scaled down version of my tank. You should be able to run a Aqua C or Coralife HOB skimmer with the pump in the first chamber.

You can also mod the set/dry to be a fuge very easily. All you have to do is glue a piece of plexi or glass to the last baffle before return to block the passage under that baffle. This will make it an overpass baffle so you can grow macro in that chamber instead. You display light should throw enough light back there to grow it just fine.
