affordable sand It's probably a little more than you need for that tank, But I have learned to keep extra around so it shouldn't hurt to have it. It's a very fine grain and will work great as a fuge substrate as well if you ever add one.

Welcome to 3reef as well. +1 on bama's comment. The gravel will be a problem down the road.

Nice incentive... but on 3reef it seems everyone is so helpful to start even without incentives. I was thrilled just to have learned enough FROM 3reefers to be able to start making suggestions!! This is such a great place to learn... I am addicted. I spend as much time on here as I do dorking with my own tank... :)

Welcome and congrats on the tank... looks great and I agree with Bama.... since my tank is a 110g, I don't have much experience with skimmers or lighting for a tank that size... sorry.
Anyway, you will learn a LOT here ;D

I use a Current 18 inch t-5 fixture over a small tank of mine, would probably work for you, depending on what you want to keep in the tank, and the tank's width or course.I was using a coralife pc fixture but replaced it with the t-5 when I found that the cost of a replacement bulb was about the same as the t-5 fixture w/bulbs.Something you might want to keep in mind.
