    Does it pull water from the underside of the hook thing? or through the top

    Second question would be how do you know how tall to make the point of water entry lol

    ahh you found it. This is the one I watched when I made mine. Pay attention to what he glues. I only glued the bottom piece so that everything else is removable and easily cleaned.

    how tall did you make the top of the cap to where the overflow starts? Im going to guess the inlet is below the waterline it looks like

    In the picture it looks like the cap is the exact height on the bottom of the teeth on the overflow

    base everything of the elbow height(you guys called it a u but basically it is an elbow) just so we are on same page.

    Anyways the top of the elbow on mine was 1.5 inches from the bottom of the over flow teeth.

    The top/cap you can probably vary but mine actually was even with the top of my overflow.

    The top of my elbow is 2 inches below the teeth. The cap doesn't matter as long as it's above your water line.

    My drain pipe is not glued anywhere for ease of cleaning. However, with that said my sump can hold all of my overflow if that drain pipe was to ever detach.

    Very cool! Do u know if it's 2 inches below the top or bottom of the teeth? I'm sure it doesn't matter
