So The 3/4" bulkhead is leaking....its flat, and the washer is on the water side and everything is correct. but there is way to much movement in the bulkhead. I tightened it way tight and still no good. I took it off and put the 1" threaded bulkhead in and it fits perfect, so im going to try to re-rig it up for the threaded bulkhead and try filling again

Fixed the bulkhead issue... It needed a 1" so I did a double threaded .

She's filled up and added a couple chromis fish. 18 caps of dr tims bacteria drops to quicken the cycle.

Nitrate and nitrite are at 0

Ammonia is at 0.25 ppm - where it's been stuck for 2 days. So hopefully by tomorrow afternoon it will be at 0 and I can turn the skimmer & light back on.

Ordered some cheto & 250 pods for the fuge which will be here Tuesday. And maybe I'll grab some clean up crew members after the cheto gets here and everything will be dirty by then.

Let me know what u think

Sounds Good! Check out Reefcleaners.com for clean up crew, they will email you a custom crew list that matches all the specifications to your tank.

Probably too late now, but you should toss the first couple of gallons of RO/DI water. Also, do you need the heater in the DT? You have one in the sump. You shouldn't need both and your tank will look much more "clean," that's one big benefit to having a sump.

tank looks great! you have a couple really nice deep purple rock in there :) I might suggest holding off on the CUC until you know you're cycled. I would think ammonia could harm them.

My ammonia was at 0.25 ppm yesterday and today im at 0.5 ppm - how can i get this down? by this weekend

I added the recommended dosage of Dr. Tims Bacteria stuff, and 2 green chromis-

My test kit is a api master test kit, maybe its not the best?

Also i did all my water through the RO/DI machine i bought

you really can't rush the cycle - you need the ammonia to come down by the bacteria process -

The stand looks amazing! We have a 75 gallon tank and purchased the stand and tank together, but we have an empty 50 gallon tank (we took that tank over and upgraded it). It's sitting empty in our basement right now. The stand to it is a little beat up from wear and tear, and also cat claw marks. You've inspired me to consider building a new stand for it and setting up that tank along with our 75 gallon! The gears are turning!
