Anyone else care to share their experience applying Joe's Juice to kill aiptasia?

I noticed that as soon as I put the hypo in the tank, juice would dispel into the water column. This bugged me and would bug my corals too.

Although I think I finally got all the ones that started in my tank with a frag - KNOCK ON WOOD - I think I have come up with a way that will prevent overflow for many cases...

If they are on a rock that you can pull out, next time you do a water change, put some old water in a bucket. Then pull the rock and place in the bucket and zap them in there. When you know you've melted them down, place the rock back in your tank.

What do you think? Got any other ideas?

I've never had that problem Matt. I turn off all my PHs and just go to town with JJ all the aiptasia. I'm on my third bottle :( because my tank is really a Aiptasia farm. I have heard from a lot of people that once you get the big ones to add a few Pep shrimp to take care of the rest. I my case the Peps just turn into food for my Mantis/Pistol ninja.

Really J? So what I am doing wrong with this hypo? It's not a whole lot that gets out, but you know, the small tank thing. ;)

what about filling the Hypo then sucking some air into it before putting it into the tank. Or you could go to a drug store and grab a medical Hypo w/ needle. Ask the clerk for Heroin size, they like that.

    Ha! I bet. ;D
Hopefully I won't need to use it again. ;)

Curious though, has anyone completely eradicated aiptasia (where they don't come back at all) with Joe's Juice?

I have pretty good success if I can get a clean shot on them, otherwise it seems to just make them come back smaller a few days later.

Not with Joe's Juice, but complete eradication with Muriatic Acid and hot water. The stuff is truly awesome! ;D

Good info guys..didn't know about lemon juice.
Joe's Juice seems to work too, it's just the application that is tricky, I guess is my point.
You have current, angles and leaky hypos. :p

That's why I mentioned possibly pulling rocks and putting in a bucket to deal with.

Of course, in my case, these things got into my tank, by hitching on one frag. SO BIG LESSON LEARNED THERE. I will be seriously isolating and inspecting any new stuff that goes in my tank.
