    Thanks Cheryl, I plan on keeping the back cleared for the same reasons as you.

    Yes on the valida. It is really taking off now.

    The long lashed palys are called Medusas. Those red zoanthids are really some of the most richly colored I have seen. I am very happy to have acquired them.

    Valida has grown quite a bit.

    Medusas, now see did we not have the debate about Palys and Zoanthids tentacle lengths? I was in the it's related to the type camp and everyone else was in the camp, length has to do more with flow. I love Medusas, but did not get them because I figured I could not get that exaggerated length, without the high flow.

    Yes on the black back, I will never ever let it get out of control again. What a major head ache the GSP turned into with the coralline, tanks look much sharper with the clean back if you are motivated to keep up on the maintenance.

    I think flow has more to do with getting the length. Tentacle shape can be used somewhat for identification. Zoas have a more tube shaped tentacle and Palys are tapered.
