Some new tank shots taken with a 50mm f/1.4 lens. There is a more blue tint to the tank from lights but processing takes out the blue to get a more realistic color rendition to the corals and fish.

Hope to make some additions this fall. I have identified 3 or 4 locations on top that can take some SPS.

Also hope to make some equipment changes too. With luck I will add a MP40es in August. Change to an Apex controller this winter and a little later change the lights to LED and add another MP40.

Encrusting Chalice under the Sun Polyps very very nice.

Birds nest are going crazy. I see fragging in your future.

    Valida under the over flow?

Great shots and as beautiful as ever.

The clam behind the Formosa looks a lot bigger? New clam?

    Thanks Cheryl

Yes that is a valida underneath the overflow and the clam is not new. It is the maxima I have had for almost 2 years now.

Looking really awesome John! I see you've taken more than 1800 photos with the Rebel, and you're getting the hang of it fast. How do you like the new lens? Canon brand?

Thanks Alex, actually more than that if count the ones that were deleted before being downloaded.

It is a Canon lens and I really like it just need to acclimate to using a prime lens not a zoom.
