Tank is looking great as always John. The last set of FTS really show how much stuff has filled in. Definitely has that really mature reef look to it. Great Job John. ;D

Actually I have gone back to a 4 bulb fixture. The 6 bulb fixture caused bleaching of my corals. The 6 bulb fixture I had was a fixture for warehouses designed for tall racks. I am currently using 2 48" retrofit kits from Hellolights.com.

    Excellent images John.

Looks like the Scroll is really showing some good growth.

What in the world is the coral in image #1?

Thanks Cheryl the scroll is really starting to take off.

It is an Acro but I have no idea what the species is. This one has blue polyps on most of the coral but green ones on the oldest sections. It appears the polyps change color as they get older or a certain distance from the tips?

I believe I have the same acro John; did you get this one from Reef Empire? Was sold as a "Blue Moon Acro" at that time (darn my photographic memory... ::)).
Mine stays purple with white polyps. The closest thing I've ever been able to match it to is A. valenciennesi. It's one of my best growers, and the growth pattern is beyond weird. "Tabling stag" I call it.

Hey Hunter, yes I did get it from them and the name sounds right. When I got it all it was was encrusting on a plug. It stayed that way for a long time then finally started growing branches. This has been in an area of pretty strong flow and the branches have stayed quite slender.

    Thanks.

Leave to Hunter and his "darn photographic memory". :)

I never even went looking for the ID, I think you guys just got lucky. J/K

    It's obviously all skill.
