    Thanks Mr. Bill, it has been very enjoyable growing them into colonies from frags, I feel a real sense of accomplishment since I was so worried about not killing them when I first got them.

    Little late is joining in on this thread only on page 18 with over 100 left to go:biglaugh:
    Very nice build thread so far I will be the millionth person to say so but I really like your original aquascape and the use of PVC to elevate. One question, when you place the pipe on its side like that do you have to worry about hydrogen sulfide building up inside the pipe?

    It does a little but since there isn't a lot of area to go bad it has not been an issue. I have laid most on their sides now just for more stability and a little less of the stilt look.

    I think I will use that in my next setup/upgrade. I wonder if drilling holes in the sides of the PVC would benefit or hurt

    With deeper sand they should help. Just make sure you make large enough holes for good water flow. Drill one hole near each end but on opposite sides if the pipe was square shaped.
