Thanks Chris, some of the new corals are struggling since my alk line plugged and alk plummeted. I have it back up running and need to figure out how to prevent the clogging in the future.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Is it conceivable that you could try Kalk in the ATO?

Not a good idea since evaporation varies and therefore an inconsistent amount of kalk would reach the system.

Thought I would show a shot of my purple plating Monti. I got it a couple years ago at about 1" x 1". It has survived parameter shifts, light inhibition and who knows what else.

You can see it in the back on the right side of the T. crocea and the left side of the T. maxima. It runs all along the back now.

Did you glue it to the back?

I wish I could see more of it.

Is that a blue tort right in front of it, is it a frag from the other tort?

Do you still have all the chromis you started with?

Lastly did you fix the line for the alk?

Is the lighting contributing to the abundance of red hues, it's lovely.

    A lot of questions, sorry.

It is glued and growing on the back side of a large plate shaped rock. It is in a very tough spot to get a good pic. I'll try from the side to see if I can get a decent shot through the glass from an angle.

Yes that is a blue tort but not a Cali tort.

I have not figured it out yet. I need to see if I need to clean out the reservoir first.

Lighting is adding to the red as is the white balance on the camera. There is also a lot of red based hues over there too.

John, your tank is looking good. I really admire it. Without digging through your entire thread, how are you supplementing alk and ca. Dosing 2 part?

Thanks Daniel, I use baking soda for my alk and BRS dry Ca powder. Each gets dosed 12X times a day. Ca on even hours and alk on odd.
