Excellent tank!!! I had 20 gallon long south american themed tank a couple months ago with a breeding trio of apisto's. I really enjoyed the planted tank but had break it down because I moved. Can't believe your tank looks that good without Co2 injection. Keep up the good work..

Thanks, hopefully you can set another one up, Apistogrammas are great fish. A good fertilization routine and heavy doses of Seachem Excel are my key to success.

Thanks, I have put a lot of iron in the water. I removed the fishing line that held the rocks on either end and moved the rock on the left side to the right side to support the branch. This raised that end a little and caused it to twist a little until the knob made contact with the back wall. Nice catch.

wonderful looking tank! We should start a 75 gallon planted tank club haha

I too am shocked that you are getting such great growth without pressurized CO2...especially with running 4 t5ho bubls with individual reflectors. I really love the pinks and red you are getting out of your plants.

Also, you must be spending a fortune on excel!! Not sure if you know of this or not, but a cheap effective substitute for excel is called Metricide 14. It has a higher concentration of glutaraldehyde than excel but it is easy to dilute it to the proper conc.

It is used in the medical field as a surgical tool sterilizer. Metricide 14-Day 1 Gallon

$17.99 for a gallon instead of $12 for 8 oz of excel.

Thanks, I have seen the Metricide and will look into it. The price you show is about 1/3 what I have seen for a gallon of Excel.

Is that just hygro difformis in the foreground on the right? If it is I like how it looks cut short like that.

Also what are the broadleafed plants to the very right?

i really like the color on the rotala. Is that rotala Wallichia on the left?

Yes on the Hygro difformis, it seems to stay low with nutrient poor substrate and strong lighting.

Rotala wallichii is the feathery plant middle right, the one you are looking at it Limnophila aromatica.

Broadleaf plants on the far right are Hygrophila corymbosa.

Rotala rotundifolia is back middle left and the two red plants in from of the branch on the left side are Rotala macrandra.
