    Thanks Mike, it will look crisper when I clean the filter out tomorrow and it can remove all of the floating detritus that was stirred up from the planting changes. LOL. I am surprised how well it looks though.

    Thanks, I like the Dutch style of planted tanks over the Amano style not that the Amanos aren't gorgeous. Most of them are only up for 6 months for competitions and then are torn down and a new one is created. The Dutch style lends itself to long term keeping IMO.

    It looks awesome! I love the ludwigia. I have been having some small algae problems, what dose of excel would you recommend for my 55?

    Thanks, use 3x the recommended amount, build up to the 3x dose slowly.

    Ok, I havnt even gotten a chance to build up to one full dose because I really didnt want to shock the tank. I will go up 1/2 dse every week.

    Wow, that's incredible. I hate looking at these freshwater thanks though, as I already have enough saltwater ;D but really cool tank :thumb_up:
