Man... That's so peaceful... I forgot how beautiful a well kept planted tank can look. Mine almost drove me out of the hobby... Though I was basically winging it and was still in high school. It looked like weeds in an abandoned field!!

Yours looks like a scene from a movie. One day I would like to put a planted tank in my bedroom. Freshwater seems more peaceful for night time viewing.

    Beautiful tank!

Thank you, I just started CO2 dosing today and have boosted fertilization greatly due to the lighting. I got 5 stems of Ludwigia inclinata 'Pantanal' yesterday from a hobbyist and they are perking up nicely. They should be visible next week I hope. I will be posting pics tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks Mike, I am going to give it a shot tomorrow, I think I can get a good angle on them. I lost the precious Ludwigia inclinata I got from Aquarium Plants, I had them sent 2DA and I think they got toasted. They may also have been grown emersed and the foliage and stems just melted away.

Thanks, the lace has about 4 leaves that if you held them upright the tips would be out of the water now.

That sucks. Are they going to replace them?
    unrelated and random but..
I was looking for data on the maxwell LED drivers and found a thread on a planted tank forum..one post was made by a very familiar individual. Great advice on placing the LED's so high above the water BTW. ;D

I didn't contact them about it, too frustrated. I lost the Ludwigia arcuata also. I found some at PetSmart in a vacuum sealed package with agar around the bottom. They are doing pretty well. Not a lot of leaf drop just losing stems because they are so small and were planted in clump.

LOL having the sponsors on our site has given us a lot of data on how to deal with the lights.

My CO2 system, the regulator was built by a member of a planted tank forum, the bubble counter mounted on the wall is DIY made from an anti-siphon valve and a 6ml doser. The white filter housing is a DIY CO2 reactor. It is called a Cerges reator. It is a full hours water filter casing with the air release button removed and air line pushed through to introduce the CO2. 3/4" CPVC parts are used to extend the intake down almost to the bottom of the case to facilitate the dissolution of the CO2 in to the water. The canister filter provides water to the Cerges reactor. That is a 5lb CO2 tank.
