Cool. Are you still running 10k bulbs? I think you would get better colors from your corals if you went with 14 or 20k.

    I am running:
    250W Ushio 10Ks x2
    175W Hamilton 14Ks x2
    39W Super Actinic x2
    39W Aqua Sun x2

All my bulbs are old and need replaced to be honest. I am saving up for the upgraded hood that I have in mind. It will be a tab bit brighter.

250W South Pacific Seas 14K x2 (new pendant reflector)
    175W Ushio 10Ks x2
    39W Actinic White x2
    39W Aqua Sun x2
    160W Super Actinic x2

Everybody I have talked to, they say the coloring is near perfection. Just a little lacking in PAR. That is why I am running so many watts, I want the color and the growth. Why settle?

Well.... that one was a little bit bigger. That was a 500LB bomb attached to a missile with a 8 inch accuracy at over 350 miles. Made for a very bad day for someone. Awesome day for me.

It would be 1000W of halide on a 150 Gallon tank. It is a lot of light, but this is a SPS Dominate. I want SPS in the sand here, and the tank is 29" tall.

My tank has a weird center brace. It is a one inch plastic center with a foot wide piece of 5/8" glass on each side. I get a feeling, I will loose a lot of par because of these things.

The T5s will pretty much be color enhancing supplements. They will not be able to penetrate these depths of this tank enough to grow SPS. I will use them to adjust the visible coloring of the tank.

Thank you, I have been working hard on this one.
