Due to a takeover of GHA, Byropsis and Green Bubble Algea (YIKES!), i decided to pull out all of the infected rocks, and to clean all of the keepable rocks (as well as addressing the algea causing issues). I took out at least a third of my live rock. However, i must say that i am VERY happy with the new look of my tank. I enjoy the "minimalist" look so much better than the "tank full of rocks" approach. I still intend to buy a couple of large pieces of LR to form a bridge between the two islands. My tank has so much more room without all of the extra rock i had before.
To cut down my algea issues i...
    A) removed all dead spots from my aquatium
    B) Reduced my lighting cycle
    C) Deep cleaned all of my equipment
    D) began running new Phosphate reducing media(s).
    E) gave my aquarium some much needed TLC.
Here are some pics of the new progress.....

I will keep updated of the progress and changes i intend to make this week...

Please let me know what you think of the change!

    Thanks, JP

thanks for all of the kind comments. I also added a few new corals plus a new Deresa Clam. I have it on the sandbed. Any opinions on this?

The clam is about 5 inches.

The change looks great along with the new coral+the clam!
But, are you sure that is a Deresa? It looks more like a crocea or even maxima clam to me.
    GREAT JOB!

    JJL,
No, i am not sure. The man who sold it to me said it was a Deresa. But he had it on his rocks. It was attached by two small filaments. Does this help answer your question? I would really like it ID'd so i know where to put it.

Ok, it is very cool, but it is not a deresa clam.
I believe it is a crocea clam.
