    Thanks JJL

I started a thread with up close pics of my clam from all angles. Crocea has been the confirmed species.
    Thank you for your feedback!

Here is a pic of where it is placed. It is the highest point in my tank. 6 or 7 inches from the water surface. Not too much light from my T5's im assuming (???) any feedback would be helpful
    Thanks! JP

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Just make sure the clam either attaches soon or can not fall from that spot when is uses it's foot to either lay down byssal filaments or adjust it's position. Falling which they will do, in my opinion causes a lot of stress to clams. Indentation in a rock always worked best for me. It's a beautiful clam, my favorite type.

Is that the Heliofungia in left hand corner?

Yes, long tentacle plate coral. It wasnt fully extended because i had the lights on out of ordinary pattern. It will inflate to the size of a medium football sometimes. It was my first coral!

Thanks for your feedback on placement, i will keep a close eye on it. Yes, i would agree that a fall could be potentially devastating, seeing as how i am not home during the day at all to save it. about how long would it take for the byssal filaments to attach???

The next day or two you might see it adjusting it's position as it does so, could take several days though.

One fall usually does not cause enough stress to kill it, repeated falls though do. If it falls from that placement I would try a different spot.

The long tentacle plate is beautiful.

    Thank you,
Im sure it appreciated the new space in my aquarium. It was crowded into the corner pretty bad before.
I got the clam today for $40. I got a colony of green striped candy canes (12 ish heads) for 20, and several pieces of pink and blue pulsing xenia for a few dollars. I couldnt be more pleased with the new look of the tank.
Thanks for all your good advice.
