I will be upgrading my 29g BioCube to a 75 or 90 tank which I don't have yet. I will need another 50lbs or so additional rock. Would it be a good idea to get some dry rock (I like Marco) put it in a bucket, add a piece of live rock from my tank and let it start curing or cycling so that when I am ready to put the tank together the rock had a jump start ?

You could do that although I don't believe it is necessary since you will be adding the rock from the 29 and you don't want to add any additional bio load for several weeks to allow the aquarium to settle in. If you do seed the dry rock you will most likely want to put something to rot in the bucket so the bacteria have a reason to increase their numbers.
